The result—the industry’s first surgical management organization that delivers cost effective, patient-focused, quality outcomes for orthopedic, spine and surgical care The Care Coordinator is responsible for the intake, scheduling, and managing of Workers’ Compensation Orthopedic/Spine Specialist referrals. The role requires effectively communicating with clients, providers, claimants, and internal staff regarding information related to the workers compensation claim. This role will also assist with entering relevant information in the Encompass system and provide operational support, as needed. Intake, schedule and manage workers compensation Orthopedic & Spine Specialist referrals through direct contact with claimants, providers, case managers, & adjusters. 2. Interact and communicate with clients and providers using various methods of communication. 3. Responsible for referral documentation management, follow-up tasks, reminders & overall portfolio of claims. 4. Schedule claimant’s appointments, obtain all pertinent medical documentation, and provide timely updates to the case managers and adjusters. 5. Provide clients and patients with exceptional service. 6. Read, interpret, and enter claim information into the Encompass systems to properly complete core functions. 7. Work closely with interdepartmental operations staff to effectively manage referrals . 8. Understand & comply with all HIPAA & SOC2 requirements necessary in working with designated PHI. 9. Perform additional support functions as needed.
